Al-Junaibi Congratulates Bahrain on the Success of the Formula 1 Race

Mr. Abdul Wahid Al-Junaibi, CEO of Benefit Company, extended his heartfelt congratulations and highest regards to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom, may God preserve and protect him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, on the outstanding success achieved by Bahrain in hosting the Bahrain Grand Prix of Gulf Air Formula 1 for the year 2025. This event adds to Bahrain's record of successes and achievements in organizing international events.
Al-Junaibi also specially congratulated the Bahrain McLaren team for winning the Bahrain Grand Prix of Gulf Air Formula 1, marking the team's first victory at the Bahrain International Circuit. He noted that this great sporting achievement is the culmination of years of hard work and quality investments in the professional sports sector. Additionally, it enhances Bahrain's position as a leading center for hosting global events and qualifies it to continue leading the regional sports scene and competing with global powers in this area.
He highlighted the importance of this event in showcasing Bahrain's ability to host leading events, along with the high capabilities and advanced skills of Bahraini youth in achieving an exceptional level of organization, which was reflected in the successful hosting of this global sporting event with efficiency and excellence to the highest standards.
Al-Junaibi praised the role of Formula 1 in placing the Bahraini economy on the global investment map and enabling the Kingdom to attract more foreign investments. He emphasized the role it plays in opening new doors for startups and financial institutions to provide innovative solutions that support the shift towards digital transformation. He assured that the recovery witnessed in the financial services sector and the acceleration of cash flow during the Formula 1 season reflects the strength of the Bahraini banking and financial sector and its capacity to accommodate such major events.
He commended the efforts of all ministries, institutions, agencies, and sectors that supported the successful hosting and organization of the Bahrain Grand Prix of Gulf Air Formula 1, all of which contributed to weaving a new success story for Bahrain that resonates worldwide. He expressed his pride and honor in this achievement, which elevates the Kingdom's status as an ideal destination in terms of digital infrastructure that meets future requirements.

BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, has sponsored the BuildHer CityHack 2025 Hackathon, a two-day event spearheaded by the College of Engineering and Technology at the Royal University for Women (RUW).
Aimed at secondary school students, the event brought together a distinguished group of academic professionals and technology experts to mentor and inspire young participants.
More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions. These activities were tailored to enhance participants’ critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and team-building capabilities, while also encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges using modern technological tools.
