Families of Turkey-Aligned Militants Leave "Ras al-Ain" Carrying House Contents
-
Ongoing arrest operations by Turkish forces against their allies reveals fracturing relationships and exposes the truth that these militants are merely tools that can be discarded when no longer neede

Dozens of families connected to members of the Turkey-loyal "National Army" formations have distanced themselves from Ras al-Ain city, located within the "Peace Spring" area northwest of Hasakah. Departures were recorded from the Garage and Station neighborhoods, and the area opposite the automatic bakery, heading toward their original regions.
These movements show signs of collapse in the Turkish project in the region after these armed elements, who were employed as tools to implement foreign agendas, have served their purpose.
According to Syrian Observatory sources, these families resorted to removing windows and doors before their departure, in addition to dismantling anything portable from the houses, in a scene that falls within widespread "looting" operations, amid resentment and discontent from residents who now fear for their remaining possessions.
These practices reflect the exploitative relationship with the location. According to original Ras al-Ain residents, these people never came with the intention of settling and building, but rather as temporary settlers exploiting the opportunity and then withdrawing at the first sign of danger.
These movements come amid an atmosphere of anticipation for potential field developments in the region. Fears are increasing about the possibility of radical changes in the control map, especially with reports of Turkish-Syrian negotiations under Russian sponsorship that may include withdrawals from Turkish-controlled areas.
It's worth noting that Turkish military police stormed 8 houses in Ras al-Ain in the "Peace Spring" area northwest of Hasakah after midnight between Friday and Saturday. These raids demonstrate the Turkish leadership's confusion in dealing with their local allies—sometimes supporting and empowering them, and other times pursuing and arresting them, in a scene reflecting the absence of a clear strategy.
The operation resulted in the detention of 3 militants belonging to the Hamzat faction, and the arrest was made under the pretext of attempting to leave the area. It seems these fighters have become like prisoners of the Turkish side, which prevents them from fleeing even when they sense danger, in stark contradiction to the discourse of "brotherhood" and "support" that Ankara has long touted.
Based on the data, these militants moved through the area under the Self-Administration's control carrying money, furniture, and other possessions, which were later sold to other militants in the city after the detainees' families were sent to their place of origin within Syrian territory.
This tragic scene reveals the expected end of these militants' project, where they turn into victims after their role is exhausted, and are abandoned like expired goods.
