Israel Reveals the Reason Behind Helicopter Landing in Sweida
مروحي إسرائيلي

Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, announced that Israeli occupation forces evacuated five members of the Druze community in Syria late Friday night due to injuries sustained within Syrian territory. They were transferred to Israel for medical treatment at Ziv Medical Center in Safed. Adraee confirmed via the X platform that Israeli forces are deployed in southern Syria and remain in a state of high alert to prevent any attempts to breach security or for hostile forces to enter Druze villages.

In related developments, local sources reported last evening that an Israeli helicopter landed in the Sweida area, with no known reasons or motives behind this sudden move, amid ongoing military and political tensions between the two sides.

These developments come a day after an Israeli aircraft targeted a location near the presidential palace in Damascus, with no injuries reported. Israel continues its escalation against Syria, amid previous threats to protect the Druze community, and heightened tensions in areas such as Jaramana and Ashrafieh Sahmariya in Rif Damascus, which have witnessed rapid security and military incidents.

Amid the recent escalation, attention is focused on the possibility of further security escalation, as Israel continues to bolster its forces in the south and discussions intensify about potential Syrian responses, while the field and political situation remains on the verge of escalation.
