Iran Denies Supporting Houthis and Threatens a Decisive Response to Any Israeli Attack
إيران واسرائيل

On Monday, Iran denied any involvement in providing military support to the Houthis in Yemen, following the group's launch of a missile that landed near Ben-Gurion Airport in Israel, reigniting tensions in the region.

In a statement issued by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, it clarified that "the Yemenis' move to support the Palestinian people is an independent decision stemming from their sense of solidarity, and Iran has no involvement or participation in this."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously confirmed on Sunday that Israel would respond to the Houthis' attack on Ben-Gurion Airport at the time and place of its choosing, declaring that the response would target "their terrorist Iranian masters."

In response to Israeli threats, Tehran emphasized that any attack on Iran's territory will face a decisive response. The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement reaffirming "the determination of the Iranian people to defend themselves" and warning Israel and the United States of the "consequences" of such threats.

The unprecedented attack on Ben-Gurion Airport on Sunday led to a temporary suspension of flight operations and minor injuries to seven individuals, according to Israeli authorities. This unprecedented escalation reflects growing tensions in the region amid speculations about the future security and political situation.
