Aasim: The Dishwasher Who Became the CEO

An Inspiring Story About Achieving Goals
The novel "Aasim: The Dishwasher Who Became the CEO" is co-authored by Dr. Moataz Subjaki and Rayan Ghusoub Issa, third edition, published by Arab Scientific Publishers, 2025.
"Is Aasim: The Dishwasher Who Became the CEO a novel or a self-development book?" This question arises whenever we delve into the reading, and by the time we near the end, the answer reveals that this novel belongs to both knowledge domains simultaneously. On one hand, there is a narrative structure composed of events, places, characters, and the relationships among them. On the other hand, there are ideas, tools, and skills that empower us to recreate ourselves to be who we want to be, contrary to what we previously believed.
In this novel, Dr. Moataz Subjaki and Rayan Ghusoub Issa narrate the story of every Lebanese who, due to their country's policies, has faced a tragic reality with no future for their children. The "hero," Aasim, is one of many from this nation who could not find a decent life for their family and future, thus immigration became the only option. Aasim walked his tumultuous path alone, leaving his country in search of a better life, leaving behind the betrayal of a friend, the abandonment of a loved one, and a younger brother waiting for him to secure his enormous medical expenses; he worked as a dishwasher despite holding a university degree. He gradually advanced in his work, climbing the ladder of promotion step by step until he reached a managerial position overseeing projects in multiple countries and ultimately became the CEO of the largest restaurant chain in Arab and foreign countries, except in the homeland he lost, where the corrupt remained on their thrones.
The novel "Aasim" serves as a life guide for anyone who wants to achieve their dreams but doesn’t know where to start. It is filled with lessons, experiences, and real-life examples that restore the reader's confidence and hand them the keys to change... reminding them that all they need to do is take the first step.
